Boiling water: Quooker taps are the only hot taps that dispense boiling water at 100°C. This feature is as a result of its vacuum insulation mechanism and thermos technology. The tanks hold water under pressure at 110°C, but, water is dispensed at 100°C.
Does Quooker tap need power?
To install a Quooker-system, all that is required is space for the tank (see the technical overview here), a 13 amp power socket, access to waste pipe and a cold water supply underneath the work surface within 500mm. A minimum incoming cold water pressure of 2 bar is required.
Why shouldnt you boil water twice?
The chemistry of the water changes when you boil it because this drives off the volatile compounds and dissolved gases. There are many cases in which this is desirable. However, if you boil the water too long or reboil it, you risk concentrating certain undesirable chemicals that may be in your water.
Is hot tap water drinkable?

Does Quooker include installation?
The Quooker comes with a handy installation kit (including the required inlet combination) for easy fitting, and is maintenance-free. The HiTAC® filter cartridge has to be replaced about once every five years, when any lime scale that has built is also removed from the tank.
Is a Quooker more efficient than a kettle?
A Quooker is energy efficient. Anyone who needs boiling water several times a day will not use more energy with a Quooker than with a kettle.
Why is the red light on my Quooker flashing?
When you first turn on the Quooker tank, a solid red light with an occasional flicker should appear on the tank and tap. This means the tank is heating up. Once the tank has fully heated the light on the tap should disappear and the light on the tank should slowly fade in and out in a gentle pulse.
Are Quooker taps safe?

Is it OK to leave water in a kettle?
No, it is never okay to leave water inside the kettle.
Leaving water inside the kettle will result in limescale that will not only ruin the taste of hot beverages but will contribute to the shortened lifespan and weakened heating performance of the kettle.
