Although Wet Conditions increase the setting time, EASYJoint will eventually set when dry. EASYJoint will always set provided there is good drainage and water can get away, allowing air to get to all the joints.
Can EASYJoint be jet wash?
Yes, you can clean our paving joints with a pressure washer but it must be done cautiously and after the EASYJoint sweep in sand has set hard. We recommend leaving newly laid EASYJoint for at least 4 weeks before cleaning it.
Does joint-it go hard?
Joint-It Simple is tightly vacuum packed inside a tough plastic bag to prevent any air from reaching the product before it is ready to be used. Contact with air makes Joint-It Simple harden within a few hours which is why you must soak your paving slabs with lots of water before you open and tip out the bag.
Can you top up EASYJoint?
Top up the Joints Allow the excess water to drain away.
Top up any sagging joints with more EASYJoint and repeat the washing process as described previously.
Can you top up jointing compound?
Gently brush in the compound to surface level. Then use a trowel to firmly push down and compact the grout mix. Once this has been compacted as much as is possible, top it up and press it in again, then brush over to level. This will give you a perfectly compact and solid joint.
Can you use EASYJoint dry?
The vast majority of EASYJoint applications use water and lots of it to aid the installation however in sub zero temperatures we would recommend the dry method of application. Prior to using the dry method you must seal the paving with an appropriate sealer to avoid staining.
How long after laying slabs can you grout?
Ideally, when working with paving that has been laid on a cement-bound bed and or with buttering mortar, the pointing should be undertaken within 4 hours of the paving being laid, while the joints still have fairly fresh mortar within them from the buttering process.
How does EASYJoint dry?
To summarize, in temperatures of 20˚C and with humidity of 65%, the joint needs to be free from water for about 24 hours for the curing process to complete. In warm & dry weather, the paving is safe to walk on after approximately 12 – 18 hours and will set hard after approximately 24 hours.
How long does Pavetuf take to dry?
Jointed areas can be walked on after just 18-24 hours.
Can you use Postcrete to point slabs?

You get what you pay for. I have used Pavetuf jointing compound which I guess is a similar resin bonded mix. Incredibly easy to use, just wash the slabs and sweep in the compound. It doesn’t stain the slabs and produces a flexible joint which weeds can’t grow through.
Can you grout flags in the rain?
Flags, setts, cobbles, block paving and loose aggregates can be laid during damp weather as long as the laying course, whether it is a cementitious material ( mortar or concrete ) or an unbound aggregate (sand, grit, whin dust) is not overly wet.
Is EASYJoint any good?
Overall EASYJoint seems like a good option. It works exactly like it says on the tin and with proper application, there is very little that can go wrong. However, there does seem to be a small issue with production where around 10-20% of the tubs have already set before being opened.
Can you repoint EASYJoint?

Do not use EASYJoint if the correct and fully clean joint size cannot be obtained. Be aware of the information supplied about site conditions and the permeability of the base and ground conditions. If there is uncertainty about either of these factors, do not use EASYJoint.
