Turn on your heater
Striking the balance between temperature and humidity in a way that won’t mist up the cabin all over again is ideal. Make sure the direction of the heated air is towards the windscreen and windows. The warmer air will dry the glass, heat it up, and stop water vapour from continuing to condense.
Why is there condensation on the outside of my car?
Condensation on the outside of a car is caused when warm, moist air (often present in early morning hours) condenses when it hits the car’s colder window glass. During cold weather, turning the heat off inside your car may also cause moisture to build up on your windshield or windows.
How do you dehumidify a car?
Place a portable dehumidifier in the vehicle and roll the windows up. If you have a portable dehumidifier handy put it in your vehicle’s back seat or trunk (if you have an SUV) with the doors closed and windows rolled up. Doing this will pull and residual moisture out of the vehicle’s fabrics.
