In an interview with Jason Blundell, he has confirmed that “The Apothicon servant cannot be upgraded in Shadows of Evil”. A red-colored portal like the one of the Apothicon Servant can be found as a drop in Dead ops Arcade 2.

How many people can have Apothicon Servant shadows of evil?
On Shadows of Evil, it is a buildable, and on Revelations, it is a Mystery Box weapon. Only one player can have this weapon at a time.
Is the Apothicon Servant in the box?
This weapon will take up one of your weapon spots and disappear from the workbench immediately after. However, you will be able to find it in the Mystery Box afterwords.
Can you upgrade Estulla?
Once all of the crystals are gathered, head to the Pack-a-Punch. If done correctly, the machine will have a blue background inside and you’ll be able to upgrade the weapon.
