How do I open SKORVA midbeam?
At this point, the midbeam is completely stuck–you will not be able to pull it apart without ropes and a come-along winch. If you do not have such a thing, then your best bet is get one of those trash plastic-handled chisels and a hammer, and lever it out by bending the metal as pictured.
Do beds need Centre support?
Often the reason twin and full size bed frames do not come with a center support bar is because they are not necessary. If you feel you need the extra support because of above average weight on the bed or an active child or teenager we would suggest a more heavy duty frame, a center support may not be enough.

Does the Malm bed need a boxspring?
No. Ikea beds do not need box springs, so much so, in fact, that they do not even sell them in store. Ikea beds are mostly supported by slats that are highly durable, and thus do not need any box springs for extra support.
