What is KT Tape Pro made of?
KT Tape Original and Gentle tape are made of 100% cotton fibers with specialized elastic cores. KT Tape PRO, PRO Extreme and PRO X are made using a highly engineered, ultra-durable synthetic fabric with 30% stronger elastic cores.

The KT Tape Pro was significantly softer feeling and stretchier than the RockTape, and was less irritable on our skin as it felt a lot less sticky than RockTape. Once applying RockTape to our skin, its strong adhesive is very noticeable and less comfortable than KT Tape.
Does all KT Tape split?
Each individual strip has a preforated split down the middle, making it easier to apply to certain areas of your body. For example, if you wanted to use KT Tape to address a hand or wrist injury, it may be easier to split a strip in half.
What do the different colors of KT Tape mean?
There is no physical or chemical difference between the colors. The colors were developed to be compatible with color therapy. The beige was created for minimal visibility and the black was created after many requests. Color choice is a matter of individual preference.
How long should I leave my KT tape on?
K-Tape is designed to stay on for an average of 3-4 days. The adhesive is heat sensitive, so your doctor will rub the tape to make sure it is properly adhered to your skin. After 1-2 hours of normal activity, the K-Tape should be properly bonded to the treated area.
RockTape Big Daddy kinesiology tape is similar to KT Flex tape in that you can use it for the treatment of various injuries. These injuries include things like back pain, runner’s knee, plantar fasciitis, and even shin splints. RockTape Big Daddy kinesiology tape provides a very high level of elasticity.
Is synthetic or cotton kinesiology tape better?
The synthetic version stayed in place during far better than the cotton version during sweaty conditioning WODs with full range of motion movements. When compared to the KT Tape cotton version, I found the synthetic tape to also provide good stability and feedback, primarily due to the strong adhesive abilities.
