Can a hornworm hurt you?

How many hornworms can I give my bearded dragon?
Bearded dragons can eat between 20 – 50 hornworms per day as juveniles, but they should be fed more vegetation as adults. Do hornworms make cocoons?
The wasp larvae feed on the inside of the hornworm until the wasp is ready to pupate. The cocoons look like white rice protruding from the hornworm’s body. The life cycle of tobacco hornworms is like that of butterflies. Both have complete metamorphosis, progressing from egg to larva to pupa to adult.
How long does it take for a hornworm to turn into a moth?
Adult moths will emerge in 1 to 3 weeks. To prepare mature hornworm larvae for pupation, remove each larva from its vial and wash any remaining culture medium from the vial with a jet of water.
