How do I get exotic cipher?
There are currently two methods for earning Exotic Ciphers: leveling the Season Pass and completing quests for Xur. The former is much easier to accomplish since it happens passively, although you will only earn one Exotic Cipher this way.
Xur can be found in a number of places; the Hall of Guardians, near Arcite 99-40, or in the North Tower, in front of the wooden doors. He can also be found in the Ship Wright area of The Tower near Dead Orbit Vendors. His location varies each weekend, so keep an eye and an ear out.

Where is ZÜR today?
We say random location, but he’ll always be in the same spots you’ve always found him in – “Winding Cove” in the EDZ, in a tree in “Watcher’s Grave” on Nessus, or in the Hangar in the Tower. He used to appear on Io and Titan, but both of those locations are now in the “Destiny Content Vault”.
What time does XUR reset?
We always know when Xur will show up — at the 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET reset each Friday. The question is where Xur will be. Previously in Destiny 2, Xur’s location was marked on the map.
